Lyat advises international and Israeli clients on cross border estate planning issues including the establishment of trust structures and private international laws relating to estate planning. Lyat provides services in connection with probate and inheritance proceedings in Israel to Israeli residents and non residents owning assets in Israel. Lyat advises individuals who are subject to the laws of more than one jurisdiction on Israeli succession matters, private international law issues and estate planning considerations.
Lyat provides pre-immigration planning advice to new immigrants as well as Israelis returning to reside in Israel and such advice relating to trusts, including taxation of trusts.
Lyat advises high net worth individuals and families as well as their professional advisers, both in Israel and abroad, on various issues relating to Israeli laws in her areas of expertise. Lyat graduated from Oxford Brooks University in 1996 where she received her law degree (LL.B). Lyat was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1998 and practiced law at the New York law firm of Faust Oppenheim, LLP until 2003. Lyat was admitted to the Israel Bar in 2005 and has been an attorney at Alon Kaplan Law Firm until 2015, when she founded Aronson, Ronkin-Noor, Eyal Law Firm with her partners.
Lyat is a member of the New York State Bar Association Trusts and Estates Section and International Section as well as a member of the Tax Specialist Group (ITSG) and a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners). Lyat is also an Academician of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and a Fellow of the International Academy of Trust and Estate Law. Lyat publishes in leading professional journals and lectures widely in her areas of expertise.
