Patty Chan is a partner at Vivien Chan & Co, a Greater China law firm with offices in Hong Kong and Beijing. She has been in practice for over 20 years.
Patty’s practice areas include general corporate and commercial matters, employment, cross-border M&A, China direct investment and real property matters. She has advised multinational companies in relation to M&A in Greater China, including due diligence, labour and employment issues, regulatory compliance and tax issues arising from M&A deals. Patty is very experienced in all aspects of real property matters, and handles all aspects of matters relating to real property, including sale/purchase, tenancies, sales and leaseback, loan and finance documents.
She has advised clients on a broad range of commercial matters in Hong Kong and the PRC, including, distribution and licensing agreements, shareholders and service agreements and corporate restructures for regulatory compliance, asset protection and tax efficiency. She has also participated as a panel speaker on employment and M&A law at numerous international conferences.
Patty received her law degree from the University of Hong Kong, and is admitted in England and Wales, and Hong Kong. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
