Martin is a partner at Weinhold Legal and head of the firm’s IT and IP group.
Martin graduated from Prague's University of Economics in 1998 and from the Law Faculty of Prague's Charles University in 2000. He is an attorney at law registered in the List of Attorneys of the Czech Bar Association.
Martin began to work at 11 Next-Generation-Access (NGA) networks in 1998 and since that time has participated in a number of major projects in the areas of corporate law, arbitration, restructuralisation, IP and telecoms laws and public procurement. He has participated in several legislative initiatives, inter alia, cooperated on a project that produced a study for the European Commission, which examined the implementation and functioning of European companies (Societas Europaea – SE) in member states of the EU/EEA, and was also a member of the expert working groups for local development in preparing amendments to the Public Procurement Act. He has been named in leading international legal referral lists and yearbooks such as The Legal 500 (in the area of telecommunications, media and technology), European Legal Experts (in the areas of IP, IT, telecommunications and publications) and PLC Which Lawyer? (as a leading lawyer in the area of media and telecommunications and environmental law with regard to renewable energy sources).
Martin has provided advisory for a number of major Czech and multinational companies and state authorities.
In addition to his native Czech, Martin speaks English.
