Claire Bernier is the founding partner of ADSTO. With more than 20 years’ experience in advising French and international companies on legal fields connected to technology, she has a proven expertise in information technology law, data protection, intellectual property and media law, cybersecurity and cybercriminal law related issues. She handles the full spectrum of works in these fields from licensing to litigation. Claire is assisting domestic and international companies with their data compliance programmes, data breaches and cyberattacks. She also advises extensively on technology agreements and partnerships. She is highly experienced in civil, administrative and criminal litigation before the French Courts and other specialised bodies (such as the CNIL - French Data Authority or the CNIS - National Commission for employee inventions). She is the author of the legal chapter of the AFNOR best practice guide on data leaks prevention. Chair of the Strategic Diagnostic Group of the 27th session of INHESJ (National Institute of Higher Studies on Security and Justice), she has notably acquired specific expertise in crisis management. Claire contributes to the on-going professional training of lawyers and judges and is regularly solicited in many domestic or international conferences as speaker. She is also the author of various articles notably on cybersecurity and data protection. She is mentioned as an expert in all the most famous legal guides and is recognised by her peers.
