Axel Reidlinger is a partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in the Vienna office. He is a member of our antitrust, competition and trade practice group. His specializations include competition law, public procurement law and energy regulatory law.
Axel regularly acts for clients in merger control, cartel and dominance cases before the Austrian competition authorities. In state aid law, Axel has worked for various publicly owned companies in evaluating and structuring their financing arrangements with the state. In the field of competition litigation Axel also represents clients in the Austrian courts in private enforcement cases, e.g. against cartel damage claims. In 2006 Axel published a book on the new Austrian competition law. Its second edition was published in 2008.
