With an LLM in Competition Law from the King's College of London, University of London, in 2005, and a PhD in Commercial Law with major in Competition Law from Universidade de São Paulo in 2015, Bruno Drago is one of the partners coordinating Demarest's Competition Law Department. Bruno has over 15 years of experience in the area. Bruno was an associate attorney at Howrey LLP, in Brussels, where he worked on competition issues before the European Commission, member states and European courts (2005/2006) and in Washington, DC (2007). 2007.
Bruno represents the interests of several clients in cases involving advice on mergers and acquisitions and associative agreements in international and local cartels as well as in highly complex discussions involving issues of abuse of dominant position. He has particular experience in the health and pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas and agribusiness sectors.
Director of the Economic Litigation Committee of the Brazilian Institute of Studies of Competition, Consumption and International Trade (Instituto Brasileiro de Estudos de Concorrência, Consumo e Comércio Internacional – IBRAC); and member of the Competition Law Commission (Comissão de Direito Concorrencial – CECORE).
