Isabel Aguilar Alonso is a senior associate in Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. She joined the firm in 2008 as an associate in the Corporate and Commercial area and has worked in the IT law and Insurance areas. She holds a joint degree in Law and Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).
Her professional practice primarily focuses on regulatory, banking, finance and corporate and commercial law. Within the regulatory field, she frequently acts as adviser to credit entities and investment firms on matters such as authorisation, cross-border provision of services, marketing of products, MiFID rules and disciplinary proceedings. In addition, she regularly advises collective investment schemes, private equity funds and other investment vehicles, both Spanish and foreign. She is also an expert on payment services, e-money and SEPA regulations. Within the banking, finance, corporate and commercial fields, her practice encompasses finance transactions, securitisations, multijurisdictional assignment of credits, security packages and general corporate and commercial law.
