Bogdan Ivanišević, partner, leads the intellectual property and media an entertainment practices, and co-leads the data protection team at BDK Advokati. Bogdan has an LLM in international legal studies from the American University, Washington College of Law, and a specialisation in intellectual property law from the same university. He is a ranked lawyer in Chambers and Partners (Serbia, intellectual property), as a lawyer with ‘a broad practice covering IP, media and life sciences, with a notable practice in data protection and privacy issues’. World Trademark Review has recognised Bogdan as a leading trademark professional in Serbia. He has contributed to leading intellectual property and data protection outlets, including The IP Kat, the 1709 Blog, IPPro The Internet, ECTA Daily Bulletin, and Practical Law, and authored a chapter in IP and the Internet, published by the Belgrade University Law School. He is an editor and major contributor to BDK’s blogs on data protection and intellectual property.
Bogdan had spent 12 years working as a human rights researcher and lawyer for Human Rights Watch and the International Centre for Transitional Justice.
Bogdan is fluent in English and Italian, conversant in Spanish and reads French.
