Rahul Satyan is a senior associate in the competition team at AZB & Partners, Delhi. Rahul has represented and advised clients in the automobile, pharmaceutical and healthcare, telecommunications, media and entertainment, internet and internet-enabled services, industrial chemicals, manufacturing, oil and gas, and steel sectors in merger control transactions and behavioural investigations at the CCI, COMPAT & NCLAT.
He has worked on several policy representations to organisations such as the Confederation of Indian Industry and sectoral regulators, as well as to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, government of India and the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance. He has given lectures and taken credit courses on competition law and policy, including at the National University of Juridical Sciences (Calcutta), Amity Law School (Delhi), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (Patiala), National Law University (Jodhpur) and the Tamil Nadu National Law School (Trichy). He also worked on various contentious and non-contentious competition law issues, including compliance mandates and audits.
He has contributed to international and domestic publications on competition law issues. Rahul earned his BA (Hons) in English Literature from the University of Delhi in 2007 and LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 2010. He completed his LLM in corporate and commercial law from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2011.
