Carlos Leal-Isla is a founding partner at Leal Isla & Horváth, SC. His practice is centred on commercial, corporate and employment matters, with a special focus on commercial contracts and arbitration, both at the domestic and international level. For more than 20 years, he has represented companies in the sectors of energy, construction, meals, electronics, pharmaceutics, among others, where he has assisted in drafting and negotiating contracts. Dr Leal Isla is vice-president of the Nuevo León Arbitration Committee of ICC Mexico. He is a professor of international contracts at the University of Monterrey, and he teaches arbitration in the dual degree with the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas). He has co-authored books and specialist articles on contracts and arbitration.
