Giovanna Rosato is an associate in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s Rome office. Before joining the firm in 2007, she worked in a firm in Rome leading in transport law and gained experience in drafting contracts and advising on disputes in the air and maritime navigation, and land transport sectors and in litigations concerning all aspects related to relations with airport managers, ground handling agents, travel agents, tour operators, as well as insurance companies operating in the air and maritime navigation. She specialised in commercial dispute resolution. Her experience also covers disputes in the banking and financial services as well as multi-jurisdictional regulatory issues and cross-border disputes concerning product liability and chemicals, pharmaceuticals and the gambling and gaming sectors. She assisted companies in crisis and management of credits, with reference not only to monitoring, executive, and urgent procedures, but also to contractual aspects, such as the assignment of debts, transactions, and the granting of banking and performance bonds. She has participated in various domestic and international arbitration proceedings and has worked in cases involving communication law and personal data protection law. Giovanna has also acted or advised in connection with some important cases involving internal investigations into corporates.
