Mr. Guzmán Saladín is the resident partner of the firm in the La Romana (Casa de Campo) area, out of which he also services the Punta Cana market. For more than 6 years, he has been the premier real estate practitioner in transactions in Casa de Campo, the most important and prestigious real estate development in the region, as well as assisted clients in some of the most important tourism investment deals in the country.
In Casa de Campo, for example, in addition to representing high-net-worth individuals in the acquisition of seven and eight figure properties, he has acted as counsel to major developers in their construction ventures, including Mobiliaria Arena Gorda, one of the largest developers in the area concerning their planned 18-townhouse project facing the new Dye Fore Golf Course.
Mr. Guzman is also acting as lead counsel to Wells Fargo on a complex ongoing foreclosure process. In the Punta Cana region Mr. Guzman recently counseled major international conglomerate Fosun Group in the real estate, permit, regulatory and corporate Dominican aspects concerning their Hong Kong spin-off/public offering of their tourism unit (includes their Club Med assets)
Additionally, he has assisted in the registration, amendment and execution of multimillion-dollar liens, claims and mortgages on behalf of large US national banks and loan processors, advised clients in the cruise tourism industry, debt-restructuring and project finance deals in the hospitality industry, has served as an expert consultant on Dominican law in multiple jurisdictions, including the UK, Canada and the US, and has also provided advice on matters related to public/private security offerings in view of the recent amendment to the Securities Act.
