Rajat specialises in institutional and ad hoc arbitration. He appears for and represents numerous clients in the ICC, LCIA and China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission amongst other forums in jurisdictions such as Michigan, Shanghai and Trinidad and Tobago. Rajat regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India as well as High Courts across the country in respect of arbitration proceedings. He also advises and represents general insurers on engineering and construction claims including under CPM, CAR and IAR policies.
Rajat has also successfully given expert testimony on Indian law, in relation to FEMA regulations, transfer of shares from non – resident to resident and Indian public policy before the US Courts in Michigan as well as before the Singapore Courts on principles of Indian Contract Act and the law of agency in India.
