Micheline Don specializes in intellectual property law (IP), IT, commercial contracts and litigation. Micheline has extensive experience in litigating for and advising clients on advertising campaigns, copyrights, trademarks, trade practices, IT and commercial contracts (such as licensing, cooperation and distribution agreements), as well as drafting and negotiating such contracts.
Before becoming a partner at Parker, she worked with NautaDutilh, for over 14 years, both in their Amsterdam and New York offices. She has assisted many national and international corporations active in the consumer goods (clothing and luxury goods in particular), design industries and IT.
Micheline is an active member of several national and international professional associations, such as the INTA, AIPPI, LES, BMM, Copyright Association, Advertising Law Association, VIRA, NVvIR, the Dutch Association for Distribution, Franchise and Agency Law and VIEPA (the Dutch Association of IP Litigation Lawyers). She regularly lectures on topics within her field of expertise and is visiting professor at HKU University of the Arts in Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Micheline graduated from Amsterdam University in 1998 and studied at Boston College Law School, USA. Before that, she studied Spanish in Salamanca and did an internship at a law firm in Barcelona. In 2004, Micheline successfully completed a post-graduate course in Information Technology Law at the Grotius Academy, Nijmegen University. In 2005/2006, she took a sabbatical to work pro bono at a capital defense law firm in Houston, Texas.
Micheline is fluent in Dutch and English, speaks Spanish very well and German reasonably well.
