Gabrielle Nater-Bass is a partner in Homburger's litigation and arbitration team. Her practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and litigation.
She is an experienced party counsel and arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings, ad hoc and institutional, with in-depth experience in matters relating to joint ventures, shareholder agreements, M&A disputes, sales contracts, long-term supply contracts, agency and distribution contracts, international commodity sales, natural resources and energy (including gas pricing and electricity trading), telecommunications and pharmaceuticals.
She also regularly advises clients in investment treaty arbitrations and represents clients in complex cross-border litigations.
Gabrielle Nater-Bass is listed on the panel of arbitrators of the ICC National Committee (Switzerland), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). She was recognized by Global Arbitration Review as one of the magazine's "all female top 30" women in arbitration and currently serves as President of the Arbitration Court of the Swiss Chambers' Arbitration Institution (SCAI). She is also a board member of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) and an international board member of the Arbitration Institute of the Finland Chamber of Commerce. She was invited to join the SIAC Users Council, the ICDR/AAA International Advisory Committee and co-chairs the ICCA-ASIL Task Force on Damages in International Arbitration. Ms. Nater-Bass also serves on the Advisory Board of ArbitralWomen (former Vice President).
Gabrielle Nater-Bass is a frequent speaker at international arbitration conferences. She graduated from the University of Zurich in 1994 (lic. iur.) and received an LLM degree from the Virginia School of Law in 1999.
