Munib Hussain is an associate in the London office of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy and a member of the firm’s Global Project, Energy and Infrastructure Finance Group. Munib has advised both lenders and sponsors on a number of international project, energy & infrastructure financings, specialising in multi-sourced financings involving export credit agencies (ECAs), multilaterals, Islamic banks and Sukuk holders.
As a member of the firm’s Islamic Finance Business Unit, he has advised the joint lead managers of the US$2 billion project sukuk on the Sadara Integrated Chemicals Project; advised the joint lead managers on the US$1.25 billion sukuk issued by PETRONAS; advised the lenders on the petrochemicals expansion of the PetroRabigh combined refinery and petrochemicals facility; advised the unsecured creditors committee of Arcapita Bank B.S.C. (c) in relation to the issuance of a US$550 million sukuk; and represented the project company on the US$1 billion Murabaha facility on the QSTech Polysilicon Project.Munib is the author of a number of chapters published on the topic of Islamic Finance.
