Yngve Bustnesli is a partner at Kvale Advokatfirma DA. He is rated as one of the leading Norwegian practitioners within regulatory framework (eg, petroleum law, joint operating agreements), offshore projects (eg, fabrication contracts), oil and gas transactions, offshore contracts (eg, rig and drilling contracts), gas sales contracts, decommissioning of offshore installations and health, safety, environment (HSE) issues.
In a previous position as a legal adviser at the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, he participated inter alia in preparing the Petroleum Act with regulations and amendments to the Joint Venture Agreements. Yngve also participated in the team working on the partial privatisation of Statoil, sales of the SDFI-shares and the establishment of the public corporations, Petoro and Gassco.
Yngve is a co-author of the standard textbook on Norwegian petroleum law, published in January 2010 and of the commented compilation (Volume 1–2) of legal sources applicable to the petroleum activities in Norway, published in 2013 (No: Petroleumsregelverket). Yngve has also published various oil and gas articles in international publications.
