Ms. Park has over 14 years experience in prosecuting patent applications before the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) in the technical fields of telecommunication, networking, semiconductor, display, MPEG, digital signaling processing, and software-related inventions. Ms. Park has extensive experience in appeal procedures before the Intellectual Property Tribunal.
Ms. Park began her career working for LG Electronics Institute of Technology as a researcher. Upon being admitted as a patent attorney, Ms. Park worked for Central International Law Firm and Horizon Law Group where she gained extensive experience in prosecuting patent applications at the KIPO, and in bringing invalidation trial proceedings before the KIPO's Intellectual Property Tribunal. She has developed an expertise in the areas of computer science, electronics, and electrical engineering. Ms. Park has also advised various Korean venture companies on patentability and infringement issues in the software patents area.
Since joining Lee International in 2002, Ms. Park has managed patent cases relating to technologies such as seamless handover, joint detection and interference cancellation, fundamental system architecture, bandwidth on demand, power control, packet data, and global pilot channel. For over eight years, Ms. Park has reviewed Korean translations of English specifications, which were prepared by technical staff or patent attorneys, and offered them translation guidelines.
Ms. Park practiced as a foreign intern at Morgan Lewis in Washington D.C. Ms. Park is a graduate of POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) (B.S., Computer Science, 1993) and Franklin Pierce Law Center (M.I.P., 2008). Ms. Park is a member of the Korean Patent Attorneys Association and AIPPI.
