Guillermo Pérez Santiago is partner of Galicia Abogados since 2014. His professional practice is mainly focused in capital markets. He has participated in securities issuances and financings for Alestra, Arca Continental, CEMEX, Coca-Cola FEMSA, Grupo Bimbo, Kimberly-Clark, El Puerto de Liverpool, Mabe, Petrotemex and Tenedora Nemak, representing issuers and banks including, among others, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, HSBC and JP Morgan. Prior to joining Galicia Abogados, he worked at Ritch Mueller since 1991, where he was a partner for 12 years and was also a partner at a legal boutique for almost 2 years. Guillermo has been member of the board of directors of various financial institutions in Mexico. As part of his pro bono efforts, he represents Alondra de la Parra in her cultural and music related activities. Guillermo is professor of Commercial Law, Obligations and Contracts of the Postgraduate Program at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and has several legal publications related to capital markets, IPOs, real state, assets securitizations and mergers and acquisitions. He obtained an LL.M. degree from the Duke University School of Law in 1998 and his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in 1993. He acquired international experience working as foreign associate in the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell.
