Her extensive knowledge and involvement in major projects in the healthcare and life sciences sector have been recognized by the Client Choice Awards 2014, Livia being nominated the exclusive winner of the Healthcare & Life Sciences category for Romania. She was also recognized as a Euromoney LMG Life Science Star for Non-IP Litigation and Enforcement (Europe 2014 - first edition).
She has coordinated and implemented a large number of antitrust compliance programs for clients acting in the pharmaceutical sector (including under US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act) and she has assisted a number of companies with complex activity in the Romanian market in procedures with the Romanian Competition Council and the European Commission in relation to cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, merger and State aid cases.
Her extensive experience includes advice on changes in the distribution models, including direct-to-pharmacy schemes, selective distribution and emergency delivery channels, product management cycle, pricing and reimbursement, implementing standard procedures and performing internal investigations concerning the interactions with healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and other third parties, including compliance audits and investigations, disclosure obligations applicable to their operations in Romania, both with respect to Romanian legislation and the Code on Disclosure of Transfers of Value from Pharmaceutical Companies to Healthcare Professionals (HCP) and Healthcare Organisations (HCO), investigations carried out by the Romanian Competition Council or by other regulatory authorities.
Since 2006, Mrs Zamfiropol has been a member of the Competition and State Aid Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Romania, coordinating this committee on the occasion of the amendments to the competition law occurred during 2009-2016, including both the Competition Law no. 21/1996 and the secondary legislation.
