Ijeoma Pamela Opoko graduated from Babcock University in 2015 with LL.B (Hons) and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 2016 as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. She joined Foundation Chambers in 2017 for her National Youth Service and was retained as an associate thereafter. She is enthusiastic about Maritime law and graduated top of her Maritime Law Class at Babcock University.
Ijeoma has advised on various local and international transactions in the maritime, oil and gas industries especially with respect to admiralty contracts, vessel sale and registration, vessel financing and regulatory compliance. She has participated in the preparation of a bid for port development in Nigeria where she played key roles of coordination, documentation, monitoring and compliance with statutory requirements. She recently participated as a Judge in the Annual Maritime Blueprint Competition at the University of Lagos where she was awarded for her contributions to the Maritime Forum.
She is a member of Nigerian Bar Association, the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, Nigerian Maritime Law Association and Chartered Institute of Public Management. She has also undertaken various courses with World Intellectual Property Organization and a basic certificate course with Poise Graduate Finishing Academy.
