María Lorena Schiariti is a partner of Marval, O’Farrell & Mairal. She joined the firm in 1997 as associate of the Administrative Law Team.
As a specialist in Administrative Law, she works in matters of high impact and complexity, providing comprehensive advice in fields of her expertise.
In her practice of Administrative Law she advises local and international private companies and public entities in matters related with public utilities’ regulation, regulated activities such as oil & gas, mining, pharmaceutical industry, banks, ports and agribusiness, administrative contracts, project finance, procurement proceedings and infrastructure projects (banks, government suppliers, constructors, public agencies, etc.).
Ms. Schiariti holds a law degree with a specialization in Administrative Law from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina (1997) and attended the Master’s in Law and Economics from the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Argentina (2001-2002). Currently Ms. Schiariti is Professor of the post-graduate courses “Global Administrative Law” and “Anticorruption and Transparency” at the Universidad Austral. She has spoken at seminars both locally and abroad on anti-corruption regulations.
Chambers and Partners Latin America included her as a Leading Individual (2009 up to 2015), as Leading Lawyer by Legal 500 (2012-2014), as Approved Administrative Law Private Practitioner by Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (2014). She was also included in the list of Corporate Lawyers to know by Latin Lawyer (2014). In 2003, Latin Lawyer magazine included her in their ‘Forty under 40’category.
She is a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and a member of the “Asociación Argentina de Derecho Administrativo”.
