Makoto Hiratsuka is the leading expert in Japanese maritime law. He graduated Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo (LL.B., Private Law Course and Public Law Course) and University of London (U.C.L., Graduate School, Diploma in Shipping Law). He is a member of Private International Law Association of Japan, Japanese Maritime Law Association and International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He was a member of special committee for amendment of TOMAC arbitration rules in The Japan Shipping Exchange, Inc. He is co-author of “International Litigation” Volume VI, Practical Civil Procedure Law Series and “Bill of Lading”, “Jurisdiction by Agreement” 100 International cases.
Shinichiro Yamashita graduated Faculty of law, Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo (LL.B.) and Institute of Maritime Law, University of Southampton (Maritime Law Short Course). He handles maritime, insurance, commercial laws and litigation/arbitration.
