Adelina is a senior lawyer in Gilbert + Tobin’s Competition + Regulation group.
Adelina provides advice on a wide range of competition law and regulatory matters. Her competition experience includes assisting clients in relation to ACCC enforcement investigations, merger clearances in Australia and New Zealand, and advising on competition law issues arising from joint ventures and other commercial transactions. In particular, Adelina has advised on competition law matters in the telecommunications, media, energy and resources, petrol retailing, banking and packaging industries. She has also advised on ACCC consumer law investigations in relation to misleading and deceptive conduct and consumer guarantees.
Adelina’s regulatory practice includes advising on telecommunications, energy and financial services regulation. Her experience includes acting for clients in merits reviews proceedings before the Australian Competition Tribunal and advising on telecommunications and media regulation in Australia and overseas.
Her experience includes advising Telstra on a range of competition law and regulatory matters, including advising on issues arising from the rollout of the National Broadband Network, operational/structural separation, merger clearances for the sale of TelstraClear to Vodafone in New Zealand and the Foxtel-Austar pay TV merger (Telstra is a 50% shareholder in Foxtel), and general competition advising on various commercial arrangements.
