Dániel offers clients a wealth of energy, competition and tech and comms expertise
Dániel is a senior associate in the firm’s corporate, commercial and competition and EU practices groups, based in Budapest. He focuses on regulatory and competition matters in the energy sector.
In the energy sector, Dániel has advised Hungarian and international clients in a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, restructurings, conventional, renewable and nuclear power plant and other infrastructure development projects. Dániel has provided legal advice in various other energy regulatory matters, including the mandatory off-take regime, unbundling rules, licensing and regulatory approvals. He has also represented clients before the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority and the European Commission.
Daniel has advised Hungarian and international clients in a wide range of competition matters, including competition law aspects of M&A transactions, merger clearance procedures, anti-trust and cartel investigations, sector inquiries and state aid issues. He has represented clients before the Hungarian Competition Authority and the European Commission. Further, Daniel has coordinated merger clearance procedures in a number of foreign jurisdictions.
Dániel holds a JD from the Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary 2006 and is a member of the Budapest Bar.
In addition to his native Hungarian, Dániel is fluent in English and has a good command of German.
