Kok Peng thereafter joined HSBC as legal counsel advising their corporate trusts and loans agency, custody and trust/funds services as well as insurance businesses. He also advised their Singapore branch on their outsourcing and corporate support requirements, and was frequently called upon to assist in direct negotiations with key partners and clients. After his time with HSBC, Kok Peng returned to private practice. As legal counsel to one of the world’s leading financial institutions, Kok Peng enjoyed an insider’s view into the intricate operations of the financial industry.
Today, he combines that special insight with a keen understanding of complex financial products and structures, in his handling of financial services industry disputes.
