Benjamin is a director and a member in both the Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice and the Corporate and Finance Department.
He is experienced in advising companies on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including finance, mergers and acquisitions, and restructuring. Benjamin also advises on all aspects of employment law including employment agreements, secondment arrangements and termination of employment.
His particular focus is in the technology, biotechnology, health, and pharmaceutical industries, where his experience includes reviewing and drafting clinical trial agreements, research and development agreements, licensing agreements, and franchise agreements. Benjamin has also been involved in life sciences, pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations.
Benjamin is recommended as a leading life sciences and employment lawyer by several international publications including The Legal 500 (Asia-Pacific), Chambers and Partners (Asia-Pacific), Who’s Who Legal, Asialaw Profiles and Asia IP Experts.
He has co-authored numerous guides, including the Singapore chapter of Life Sciences, Getting the Deal Through, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016; ‘Life Sciences Jurisdictional Guide to Singapore’ in Practical Law Company Multi-Jurisdictional Guide 2013, ‘Ethical Guidelines for Human Biomedical Research Legislation in Singapore’ in Asian Legal Business November 2012, and the Singapore chapter of Global Pharmacovigilance Laws & Regulations: The Essential Reference, which has been described as a ‘groundbreaking book’ and a ‘landmark guide’ published by the US based Food and Drug Law Institute.
