Melissa C Rodriguez is of counsel at Morgan Lewis in the firm’s New York office. Melissa advises employers with operations in Puerto Rico on a wide range of labour and employment counselling and compliance matters. She also represents employers in federal litigation and administrative matters in Puerto Rico.
Melissa also advises clients on the full spectrum of US labour and employment law matters. This includes single-plaintiff, class, and collective action litigation (both wage and hour and discrimination claims); wage and hour and other employment counselling; and traditional labour work. In her litigation practice, she represents employers in individual, class and collective action litigation, as well as in administrative agency actions concerning federal and state labour and employment statutes.
While in law school, Melissa externed with Judge Sonia Sotomayor at the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Melissa earned her JD in 2001 from Columbia University Law School and her BA in 1998 magna cum laude, with honours, from Yale University.
