Clarissa Giannetti Machado joined the firm in 1999 and became partner in 2007. She advises companies with business operations in Brazil on transfer pricing, real estate transactions and general tax planning. She is the partner responsible for tax department in the office and for transfer pricing matters. She also helps clients develop and implement tax-efficient structures for financial transactions, acquisitions and sales of business operations, real estate operations and related transactions. Graduated in 1997 from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP) and in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Master of Laws (LLM) in 2002 from Columbia University School of Law of New York (USA). Admitted to practise law in the State of New York – USA (approved by the New York Bar in 2002). She worked at Baker & McKenzie’s Chicago office in 2002 and at Baker & McKenzie Amsterdam office (in the global transfer pricing group) in 2006. Clarissa has been listed as a leading tax lawyer by Chambers Global and Latin America in all years from 2011 to 2018.
