Lara is a partner in the corporate and M&A practice in BSA DIFC office in Dubai. She specialises in transactional corporate work mainly in the oil and gas, real estate, hospitality, technology and IP industries.
She has vast experience in corporate, commercial, and contract law, with a particular emphasis on contractual matters, mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. She advises on a range of local and international corporate and commercial matters including joint ventures, commercial agency, private equity, employment and regulatory.
Lara has led teams on numerous high-profile and high-value transactions for well-known international and local clients across a broad range of industries. She has acted as local UAE adviser for major international law firms in several M&As and advised on shareholder, director, and managerial rights and obligations in terms of UAE law, free zone regulations and shareholder agreements.
She has advised on a US$10million acquisition of an organic vegetation plant in Ras Al Khaimah for a client whose identity is confidential. The acquisition is a regional development of ongoing vegetation plants within the UAE and is the first of its kind. This acquisition positions our client as pioneers in their field, exploring an industry in the UAE that hasn’t been pushed to such boundaries.
Lara holds a master’s degree in international business law and an LLB from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Law in Lebanon.
