A partner of the Firm, Sami has over 10 years of legal experience and specialises in international arbitration and related court litigation and has in-depth experience of acting in arbitration matters under the LCIA, ICC, ICSID, and SIAC rules. Sami also regularly appears before the High Courts of Pakistan in commercial dispute matters. His work primarily arises out of the energy sector, oil & gas, construction, public contracts, telecommunication, international trade, securities regulation, the corporate sector, investment treaties, and matters pertaining to conflict of laws.
He is an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan, has been called to the bar of England and Wales and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
Sami has professional certifications in International Investment Arbitration from the International Academy for Arbitration Law, Paris, and in International Commercial Arbitration from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is also a contributor to the peer-reviewed International Journal of Arbitration, Mediation and Dispute Management, February 2013 Edition (CIArb and Sweet & Maxwell).
