David specialises in corporate/commercial law including M&A and corporate finance.
He has extensive experience in a broad range of work including insolvency, finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, funds, collective investment schemes and reorganisations (with a particular specialisation and focus in real estate matters). He advises on all corporate aspects of property structures and investments.
David has advised on the corporate and funding aspects of the King's Cross property development for one of the legacy landowners in the project joint venture, and the Pinnacle tower development in the City of London.
Additionally, he has advised on acquisitions and disposals of property SPVs, both UK and offshore, ranging in transaction size up to £200m and handles corporate joint venture arrangements for projects undertaken by a number of the UK’s top 10 quoted housebuilders.
David is a member of the Islamic Finance Group and has wide experience of a variety of Shari'ah compliant real estate structures. His work has included ijara and istisna arrangements, and a £30 million syndicated commodity murabahah funding of a real estate development.
