Ms. Tanvi Praveen is an Associate in the International Trade/WTO practice group of the Firm. She has graduated in B.B.A. LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School, Noida; Symbiosis International University, Pune.
Ms. Praveen was part of the team which represented the Government of India in compliance proceedings under Article 21.5 of DSU in the WTO dispute India-Agricultural Products (WT/DS430). She has also advised the Government of India on various policy related issues concerning the WTO.
Ms. Praveen has represented clients in various trade remedial investigations before the DGTR and appellate forums such as CESTAT, High Courts and the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. She had recently advised the Government of India on a countervailing duty investigation initiated by Pakistan against import of Fine Cotton Yarn. Some of her recent representations include representing an exporter of steel from Korea RP along with the Indian importers, elastomeric filament yarn from Vietnam and Korea RP, Indian importers’ associations before the DGTR in various anti-dumping investigations, CESTAT, High Court and the Supreme Court of India.
