Graduated from the Maria Sklodowska-Curie University in Lublin in the Law and Administration Faculty. In the academic year 2006/2007 student of postgraduate studies in Corporate Law organized by the University of Warsaw. Legal counsel since 2008 (legal counsel exam passed with distinction).
Magdalena Kowalczuk-Szymańska specializes in preparing commercial contracts (especially franchising agreements and lease agreements) as well as conducting civil proceedings, particularly in the field of intellectual property rights. She has also successfully conducted proceedings on the protection of the collective consumer interests before the President of Office for Competition and Consumer Protection, including questioning by the aforementioned authority of rules of providing electronic services. She provides everyday legal services for companies operating in different sectors, in particular regarding distribution and franchising issues and advises clients on matters relating to the competition.
Magdalena Kowalczuk-Szymańska is country expert for Poland at International Distribution Institute in the field of franchising. She deals with establishment or development of franchise system in Poland e.g. in such sectors as food market, selling of cosmetics, selling of building materials or teaching of foreign languages. She is an author of a publication on copyright law and civil procedure.
