Federico is a counsel based in Rome where his practice areas stretch from antitrust and regulatory proceedings to administrative and commercial litigation (he is admitted to practice before the Superior Courts – Cassazionista). His expertise in TMT law and regulation is widely recognised by the market.
Before joining us in 2016, he was first a legal officer at the Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM) and then a senior associate for 11 years with Cleary Gottlieb (Rome and Brussels offices), focusing on antitrust cases, administrative/commercial litigation and on counselling in regulatory proceedings.
Named “2005 Young administrative lawyer of the year” by the Italian Administrative Lawyers Association (SIAA), Federico is listed as a RAS expert by the World Bank (Antitrust Law). Currently, he is a contract lecturer on Internet and Media Law at the Scuola Nazionale dell’Amministrazione (National School of Public Administration).
He regularly publishes on antitrust and TMT law in leading law journals and has authored one of the most popular Italian textbooks on e-Communications Law, which is adopted as a reference book at the University of Bologna.
Federico received an LLM from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College) and a Ph.D. in regulatory science from the University of Rome LUMSA.
