Edward is an investigations and dispute resolution lawyer, with experience in the UK and Australia conducting cross-border internal investigations and defending clients in civil, regulatory and criminal proceedings relating to corporate and financial misconduct. He advises on enforcement investigations and associated litigation relating to financial services, corruption, money laundering and competition law. In addition, Edward advises companies and financial institutions on compliance obligations relating to anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and financial services regulations.
Edward has experience guiding corporates and individuals through the investigation processes of a range of enforcement and regulatory agencies in the UK (including the Serious Fraud Office, the Financial Conduct Authority, the National Crime Agency and Crown Prosecution Service) and Australia (including Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions), as well as coordinating advice in relation to investigations by corresponding agencies in United States, Switzerland, France, Spain, Luxembourg and the BVI. He also has experience acting for financial institutions and large corporates in financial services, corporate governance and class action litigation.
