Rodrigo Borges Carneiro is a lawyer, industrial property agent and partner of Dannemann Siemsen, where he has been working since 1995. He holds a degree in law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RIO), Rodrigo holds a master’s degree in intellectual property from John Marshall Law School, in Chicago, United States (2000). He also holds a postgraduate degree in international copyright law from King's College, University of London (2005) and also in corporate law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1995). He also holds a diploma in Summer School in English Legal Methods, University of Cambridge, Sidney Sussex College England (1996). In the academic field, Rodrigo Carneiro taught as a guest lecturer in the postgraduate course in intellectual property law, and in the Superior School of Advocacy – ESA of São Paulo in those of entertainment law. Also as a guest lecturer at FGV-Rio, he lectured on advertising and television programme formats in the course on intellectual property. He is an adviser to the Dannemann Siemsen Institute for Technical and Legal Studies.
As a lawyer, Rodrigo Carneiro serves a significant clientele of the entertainment industry including the audiovisual area of music and new media and works in the writing and negotiation of contracts involving the various areas of entertainment law, advises clients in trademarks and copyrights and deals of actions complex rights involving entertainment law, copyright, personality rights and trademarks. It also deals with the liberation of trademark rights and films for film and television, both in national and foreign productions.
He is also the author of several articles and book chapters.
