Mikhail Sokolov is an executive partner and head of Kesarev' office and practice in Ukraine is in charge of project teams’ management in a wide scope of government relations, public affairs and crisis communications projects; preparation of draft legislation concepts, comparative legal analysis and economic expertise of legislative and regulatory acts.
Mikhail has a sound experience in governmental relations and public affairs, development of regulatory concepts and regulatory impact assessment, corporate PR and crisis management services in both Ukraine and Russia. Mr Sokolov is an effective moderator of working groups within discussion platforms and expert councils under public authorities.
Prior to joining Kesarev Consulting Mikhail had been a member of Interpipe Corporation’s crisis management team and the partner of Content.UA communication group.
Before moving to Ukraine, Mikhail worked in the Regional Policy Office at YUKOS-Moscow and participated in a number of CSR projects for Yukos Oil Company. He also managed over 20 various election campaigns in large Russian cities.
Mr Sokolov is a graduate of the Moscow Political Researches School and the «Open World» programme in municipal and public administration. Mikhail has a master's degree in physics from the Saint Petersburg Technical University.
Mikhail is a columnist with the leading Ukrainian internet media «LB.ua» and Ukrainska Pravda.
For effective coordination of EU integration working groups Mikhail was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
