Becky is an Associate in the intellectual property team at Osborne Clarke. She works on a variety of intellectual property matters, including trademark infringement, passing off, copyright, design infringement, confidential information and domain name disputes.
Becky works alongside other team members to manage global trade mark portfolios and liaises with a large network of overseas agents in order to protect and enforce brands internationally. She performs clearance searches and advises clients of the key risks in pursuing a new brand in different territories. Becky also monitors trade mark watch notices for a number of major brands and regularly takes action to enforce clients' registered and unregistered rights.
Becky has recently acted on behalf of a major manufacturer in High Court breach of confidence proceedings, resulting in a decision which was widely reported as clarifying the law in misuse of confidential information. She also has experience of UK Intellectual Property Office and EU Intellectual Property Office proceedings.
Becky joined Osborne Clarke as a trainee in 2014 and qualified as a solicitor in March 2016. Prior to this, she worked as a Legal Intern for an NYSE listed company in the transport and automotive sector, based at their global headquarters.
