Pavel Melnikov brings with him 12+ years of professional experience in government relations work.
Successfully developed and handled complex reputational management and advocacy campaigns aimed at improving business climate, influencing policies on particular issues and boosting clients' publicity.
His working experience includes banking and pharmaceutical sectors in terms of state regulation and consumer protection as well as the public affairs work in the telecommunications, industrial and oil and gas sectors.
Pavel started his career at the Federal Customs Service. After that he worked as the press secretary to Igor Artemiev, State Duma Deputy and current Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) both at State Duma and FAS.
Thereafter Pavel spent three years as being responsible for corporate PR in Pirelli Russia and seven years as the Vice President on Government Relations and Crisis Communications at Russian office of Grayling, the global PR and GR agency.
Pavel is a member of the Government Relations league uniting Russian Government Relations professionals, member of the Russian Public Relations Association and non-commercial partnership “Promotion of competition” within FAS.
Pavel graduated with Honours from the Management Faculty of the Russian Customs Academy. In 2014, he finished several courses on global compliance, global corporate lawyering, antitrust and competition law.
He is invited to give lectures at the prominent Russian higher education institutions such as Moscow State University (MGU), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), Higher School of Economics, etc; he also held special courses on Public Affairs at the MGU and MGIMO.
Pavel is listed as a leading GR consultant in Professional services sector by Kommersant newspaper and Russian Managers Association (Top 1000 Russian Managers – 2014, 2015, 2017).
