Giuseppe Calabi is senior partner at CBM & Partners.
After graduating in law from the University of Milan, he earned a master’s of Laws at Harvard University.
He has successfully developed an art law practice, in which his firm is widely recognised as a leader both nationwide and internationally. He is currently a member of a government-appointed working group in charge of drafting a reform of artwork export licence regime in Italy.
He regularly assists Italian and international art market operators among which artists, auction houses, dealers, art galleries, artists estates, cultural foundations and associations, private collectors.
He is the chair of the Art, Cultural Institutions and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is also a member of the Harvard Law School Leadership Council of Europe, of the Copyright Commission of the Italian Publishers Association and of the Advisory Committee of the Italian Communication Authority (AGCOM) on online copyright infringement.
He frequently publishes articles and gives lectures in Italy and abroad on art law.
