Antonio de Mariano joined Ramón y Cajal Abogados in 1999 and was named partner in 2008. He is currently the partner in charge of the Commercial Contracts area.
He is a specialist in a vast range of commercial matters, including contractual negotiations and commercial disputes, and in unfair competition, protection of consumers and users, advertising, application of regulations governing the food chain and the retail trade, protection of a company’s intangible assets (industrial property, intellectual property, trade secrets, protection of the right to honour) and data protection. Antonio de Mariano regularly advises both national and international clients.
He also has extensive experience in arbitration and court proceedings in his field of specialisation, including private litigation actions.
Mr de Mariano collaborates with prestigious Spanish law schools such as ICADE and Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, where he has taught several seminars.
Before joining Ramón y Cajal, Mr de Mariano prepared for the public (competitive) entrance exams for Counsel to the Spanish government (Abogado del Estado) and Counsel to the Andalusian regional government (1992–1999).
Antonio holds a law degree from Navarra University (1992). He is a member of the Madrid Bar.
