Branko Skerlev is a founding partner of Skerlev Law Office. Before establishing the office, Branko spent four years as a chief legal adviser for the Quaestus Group, a leading private equity/alternative investment group in Croatia where he advised on both the regulatory and transaction issues on every day basis. Prior to that, he was a legal adviser to the State Bank Rehabilitation Agency and practised with Vukmir and Associates in Zagreb.
In his work, Branko focuses on alternative investment funds, with experience acting for fund managers on structuring of and investing in mainly private equity and venture capital funds. He also regularly advises on AIFMD compliance issues. He is active in other areas of corporate law and has corporate transactional experience, mainly joint ventures, co-investments, venture capital and private equity transactions. He has experience in listed securities and bond documentation as well as restructuring and insolvency issues.
Branko hold an L.LM degree from Zagreb University School of Law and is a regular lecturer on Zagreb School of Economics and Management, the first business school in the CEE to receive the prestigious AACSB accreditation.
