Since 2015, Mr Peña works as senior attorney of the corporate and regulatory areas at the firm, advising Chilean and foreign clients on corporate and financial deals, regulated markets and on projects development, especially energy and infrastructure projects. Before working at the firm, he worked in the energy group at the firm Alcaíno, Rodríguez y Sahli (2009–2011), and then in the infrastructure group at the firm Barros & Errázuriz (2012–2015).
Mr Peña has counselled engineering and construction companies, suppliers of equipment and provisions, banks and financial institutions, operators and private investors, in the different stages and aspects of projects in Chile and in the rest of Latin America (maritime and terrestrial ports, industrial facilities, power plants, LNG terminals, and desalination plants, among others).
Mr Peña studied at the Universidad de Chile Law School, and obtained his law degree in 2009. Also, he obtained the master’s in Laws degree from the Northwestern University and a Certificate in Business Administration from the IE Business School of Madrid, Spain, both in 2012.
In the academic field, Mr Peña has served as lecturer of the class ‘Energy Law and Project Development’, at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Law School, since 2014.
Mr Peña is member of the Bar Association of Chile AG, and she speaks Spanish and English.
