Amelia K Brankov leads the firm’s fine art practice. She advises modern and contemporary art galleries, collectors, artist studios, curators, antiquities dealers, art advisors, appraisers and conservators. She represents clients in disputes concerning the title, authenticity and copyright interests of artwork, as well as business disputes among various players in the art world. She assists clients in all legal aspects of transactions involving artwork including purchase agreements, consignment agreements and loan agreements. In addition to her fine art practice, Ms Brankov is a seasoned commercial litigator who is noted for her extensive and successful work in the advertising, fashion, film, television and media industries. She regularly litigates complex disputes involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, copyright infringement and right of publicity claims. She has been quoted in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post, Artnet, and many other media outlets. She is a frequent lecturer on art law issues, and has published numerous articles on art law and copyright matters in Law360, Trusts & Estates magazine, The New York Law Journal, and other publications. She has been named a Super Lawyer in the New York area for business litigation and intellectual property litigation every year since 2013.
