Christoph Engelmann is a senior associate at the Hamburg office of the international law firm DLA Piper. He works in the media regulatory team of partner Dr Michael Stulz-Herrnstadt, which is ranked tier 1 of media regulation in Germany (JUVE Handbook 2017/18). He advises national and international corporations on (media) regulatory matters. His focus is on gambling, broadcasting, telecommunications and payment services law. Christoph Engelmann assists national and international gambling companies in gambling licensing procedures (eg, operator and intermediary licences including internet and advertising licences), in dealing with compliance requirements (eg, AML, youth protection and advertising) and in regulatory litigation (eg, administrative offence proceedings and administrative interdictions). He also advises national and international media companies in complying with gambling regulatory requirements (eg, advertising and the scope of gambling regulation in regard to prize draws).
