Associate Dimitris Papapolyviou primarily practises in the areas of corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as, energy law.
Dimitris is involved in complex and high-profile commercial disputes before the Courts of Cyprus, with particular emphasis on corporate disputes and applications for the issuance of interlocutory relief, such as freezing and disclosure orders. Also, he regularly advises clients in relation to arbitration proceedings, both domestic and international, as well as, to insolvency proceedings, particularly with regard to winding-up applications and the newly-introduced examinership procedure.
In addition, he regularly advises on various issues pertaining to regulatory and commercial aspects of the energy markets in Cyprus, has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and the press in relation to the emerging hydrocarbons market of Cyprus, and has also been invited to address energy related conferences.
Dimitris is the co-author of the “Cyprus Chapter of the 6th Edition of the Energy Regulation and Markets Review”, Law Business Research, 2016.
