Ilan Sherr is a legal director in the EU, Competition and Trade team at DLA Piper's London office. Ilan is an English and Irish qualified solicitor and regularly advises on all areas of EU and competition law, including cartels, anticompetitive agreements, merger control and state aid. He also advises on EU law, trade and free movement.
Ilan edits the Westlaw Insight sections on Abuse of Dominance, Anticompetitive Agreements and the Cartel Offence. He is a contributing author to the leading tex book EU Law of State Aid by Oxford University Press, the upcoming textbook Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in International Economic Law by Oxford University Press and is a regular contributor to the online competition journal Concurrences. He is also on the steering committee of the UK State Aid Law Association.
