RAMON A. ANZOLA R. A native of Panama City, Ramon is a principal at Anzola Robles & Asociados. His practice concentrates on corporate law, and corporate and individual tax. Ramón advises local and multinational companies in connection with their domestic and international tax affairs and planning. He also provides tax and estate advice to business executives and HNWI.
Ramón received his law degree from Santa Maria La Antigua University, Law School, (Panama), and was admitted to the practice of law in Panama. He continued graduate level studies at the Washington College of Law of the American University, where he earned a Master of Laws in 1988. During his time at the Washington College of Law, he served on the editorial board of the American University Journal of International Law & Policy. He is also admitted to practise in the State of New York, United States of America. Ramon speaks Spanish and English fluently, and is conversant in Portuguese.
Intertwined within his private practice years, Ramón has served twice in the public sector as Counsel with the Panama Embassy in the United States, and Secretary General of the Colon Free Zone in Panama. He has also devoted time to academic activities as adjunct faculty at Florida State University (Panama campus), and at the School of Law of Santa Maria La Antigua University.
He has participated many times as lecturer in corporate law, estate planning and tax conferences and has served as expert witness in foreign court proceedings, in matters of corporate law.
