Head of Patent Department at Håmsø Patentbyrå. Krister holds a PhD in physics, specialising in solar cell technology, and an MSc in materials science, both degrees from the University of Oslo. Before pursuing a career as a patent attorney, Krister also held a position as researcher at Department of Solar Energy at Institute for Energy Technology, Kjeller, Norway. Krister joined Håmsø Patentbyrå in 2010. Since then he has completed studies in Norwegian patent, design and trademark law at the University of Oslo, and he has also qualified as European Patent Attorney as one out of less than a handful of Norwegians with the qualification. Krister works mainly within the technical fields of oil and gas, semi-conductors, materials science and renewable energy, where he has been involved in patent drafting, prosecution, freedom to operate analyses, oppositions, and general IP strategy. Krister has also been used as an expert witness in court proceedings. Today, Krister leads a team of highly qualified Norwegian, European, Chartered UK, Dutch, Swedish, Portuguese and Danish patent attorneys at Håmsø Patentbyrå.
